Ng worked as a graphic designer for many years before enrolling in a screen-printing course, which led to a textiles course and the discovery of repeating patterns. She founded Fabric Drawer in 2012 after living in London. She initially sold at Melbourne craft markets and worked with an American art agent licensing artwork on gift and greeting card ranges. She has since collaborated with a range of local and international companies.
