Career Path

My artistic journey began at an early age, receiving recognition through school art competitions and a Year 12 Art Award. Although life and my professional career took me in other directions, I later reconnected with my passion for art, exhibiting and selling original works through local art competitions and festivals while continuing to develop my technical skills.

My creative practice has since evolved from traditional drawing and painting into contemporary botanical illustration and surface pattern design. Inspired by nature, folk art and symbolic storytelling, I combine expressive colour, intricate detail and bold stylisation to create distinctive, original artwork.

Today, as the founder of Liss & Loom, I am building on decades of creative exploration, transforming my hand-painted and hand-drawn designs into digital repeat patterns for textiles, homewares, fashion and lifestyle products. My focus is on developing an independent Australian art licensing studio, collaborating with brands that value originality, craftsmanship and meaningful design
