Hi, I'm Tawn! I'm a Canadian illustrator and surface designer creating colourful, playful artwork for greeting cards, stationery, gifts and other everyday products. I love bringing together whimsical details, hand-drawn textures and a little humour to create designs that feel cheerful and full of character.
My artwork is available for licensing, and I also take on select custom illustration projects.
I'm drawn to bright, playful colours, delicate textures and designs that feel a little imperfect in the best way. My work often includes florals, nature-inspired motifs, folk-art influences and whimsical characters, with a feminine feel that's both timeless and modern.
I like finding that balance between polished artwork and handmade charm, where the little details give each piece its personality.
I create most of my commercial artwork digitally, primarily using Procreate and Photoshop, along with Illustrator when needed. Even when working digitally, I like to keep a handmade quality through subtle textures, pencil marks and slightly imperfect lines.
Outside of my digital work, I enjoy experimenting with ink, watercolour and sketchbook illustration. It's a fun way to explore new ideas and keep my creative practice fresh.
My artwork has been licensed for greeting cards, puzzles and other consumer products through companies including Sellers Publishing, Design House Greetings, Felt and Jiggy Puzzles.
I'm particularly interested in collaborating with greeting card publishers and brands in the stationery, gift, home décor and fabric markets.
My background is in digital design and UX/UI, but illustration and surface design have become an increasingly important part of my creative life. That passion eventually grew into Tawn Moore Studio, where I focus on creating artwork for licensing and custom projects.
My design background has shaped how I approach client work, too. I enjoy the creative side of things, of course, but I also care about thoughtful details, clear communication and creating artwork that works for the products it's intended for.
Florals, botanicals, playful motifs and folk-inspired details are recurring themes in my pattern work. I enjoy creating both simple, cheerful repeats and more detailed compositions, often exploring seasonal themes and coordinated mini collections.
Alongside repeating patterns, I also create standalone illustrations and hand-lettered designs, particularly for greeting cards, stationery and gifts.
