Basso & Brooke is a London-based fashion label founded by Bruno Basso (born Santos, São Paulo, Brazil) and Christopher Brooke (born Newark-on-Trent, UK). The two met in 2001 and produced their first collection in 2004. They were the inaugural winners of Fashion Fringe, the UK talent competition searching for emerging fashion talent. The label is internationally recognised as a pioneer of digital print technique in the fashion industry. Tim Blanks of Style.com described them as "the Pixar of clothes"; press described them as "the masters of fantastical digital print." Basso & Brooke operates within the Aeffe portfolio.

The label's aesthetic vocabulary is defined by fantastical, large-scale digital print - maximalist in colour, surreal in motif, photographic in resolution. Their work consistently applied print to the full garment surface, using the entire piece as a print canvas. Fashion press consistently categorised them at the boundary of fashion and digital art.
Basso and Brooke began their collaborative practice after meeting in 2001, presenting their first collection in 2004 and winning the inaugural Fashion Fringe competition - a UK-based platform for emerging designers. The label showed ready-to-wear collections from 2005 onward. In 2006, the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York acquired the Swarovski crystal-covered finale piece from their Autumn/Winter 2005 collection. In May 2009, Michelle Obama wore a piece from their SS09 collection at an informal evening of poetry, music, and spoken word at the White House.
The label is part of the Aeffe licensing and brand portfolio, the Italian group that also manages Alberta Ferretti, Moschino, Jeremy Scott, and others.
Basso & Brooke operates within the Aeffe portfolio. The label showed at London Fashion Week. The current label continues to produce ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories, and kidswear under the Basso & Brooke identity.
Basso & Brooke occupies the London-based luxury ready-to-wear segment with a strong editorial and arts-institutional reputation. The label's digital print specialism positions it at the intersection of technology-driven fashion manufacturing and fine art referencing. Press coverage and institutional acquisition (Met Costume Institute) established an early high-culture positioning.
Basso & Brooke's founding identity and primary commercial contribution is digital print on fashion. The label is documented as a pioneer of the digital print technique within the fashion industry - using high-resolution, full-colour, photographic-quality prints applied to apparel at a time when this technique was not standard in ready-to-wear. Their print vocabulary draws on fantastical, maximalist, and often surreal imagery applied across entire garment surfaces.
The Costume Institute acquisition (2006) of their A/W 2005 Swarovski crystal-covered finale piece establishes a documented precedent of surface-embellishment work combining digital print aesthetic with applied crystal surface decoration.
